CIDB is the abbreviation of the Building Development Board of Malaysia. All building materials and steel products, ceramics, toilet and bathroom products used in the construction industry must be certified by CIBD. SIRIM is the approved inspection body of CIBD.
CIDB certified products:
Cement, cement binder, ceramic bathroom, toilet, ceramic basin, ceramic tile, ceramic brick, plastic flusher tank, steel, aluminum, glass, insulation material, fiberboard, artificial fiberboard, fiber cement board, slag wool insulation material, rock wool, glass fiber, fire products, fire fittings
CIDB certification is divided into two steps (certificate is valid for 1 year)
Step 1: Get the product PC certificate (SIRIM) or get the inspection report (valid for half a year)
Submit data to SIRIM Standards Bureau -- Data Review -- Factory Review (Spot Check) -- Test/Issue Report -- Issue PC Certificate
Step 2: Apply for COA after the goods arrive at the port.
After the factory has the PC (SIRIM) certificate, it can ship the goods. After the goods arrive at the Malaysian customs, the importer can apply for COA by virtue of the PC (SIRIM) certificate, and then the customs can be cleared.
For multiple exports, it is more appropriate to apply for a product certificate or product license. The application for a product certificate must be inspected by a Sirim inspector at the factory and sampled back to the horses for testing.
