ACS is the French health certification body AFNOR. It mainly tests plumbing products according to the standards issued by AFNOR. ACS testing mainly involves whether heavy metals, softeners, stabilizers and other substances are separated out of materials and products placed in water. Organic matter testing is used to detect properties that affect materials, including taste, smell and color of water quality after products contact drinking water. The mechanical properties of materials are tested.
ACS certification is one of the mandatory market certifications in France, which is a prerequisite for all domestic water products to enter the French market.
Certification process:
I. Contract Signing
II. The customer shall provide the following product information
1. Explosive map (including product number, part name, specification, material, dosage, etc.)
2. ACS certificate for non-metallic parts (for parts without certification, it is necessary to randomly apply for ACS certification, with a period of 3-4 months)
3, metal material composition analysis report (not done to do material analysis report)
4, the product used materials (a, if there is no certification, to provide the formula for ACS certification "mainly for ABS,TPR,POM, silicone, EPDM,NBR"; B. CLP certificate for special materials glue, adhesives and other types of products);
5. Fill in the application form (including company name, address, telephone, fax, contact person, email, etc.)
III. The laboratory shall submit the application to the French license issuing agency after collating the data
IV. After the materials are checked and approved, the samples shall be sent to the issuing organs for evaluation according to the requirements of the issuing organs
V. After approval, wait for the ACS certificate issued by the French license-issuing agency.
Certification requirements:
A. The product applying for ACS certification must contain A non-metallic material;
B, all copper products do not need to do ACS certification (generally 59 copper, stainless steel 304);
C. Products with only one material do not need to do ACS certification (if non-metallic parts need to do component analysis);
D. ACS certification is not required for water flushing devices (as follows: water pipes);
E. Water heaters and boilers do not need ACS certification;
F. ACS certification is not required for water analysis probe
Classification of certification status:
A. All the non-metal parts and components have ACS certification, so you can directly submit the materials to apply for the certificate, and the period is about 3 months.
B. The part of the hydrated non-metallic material has ACS certification, and the rest of the non-metallic material does not have ACS certification, the transfer test is required, and the certificate can only be applied after the test is passed, and the period is about 6 months.
